Movie Review: “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”

When all of ten Kingsman locations in the UK are destroyed, the two remaining agents, Eggsy and Baldwin, implement the doomsday protocol where they join forces with the agents of the Statesman, an American counterpart headed by Champ. The person responsible for the destruction is Poppy, the head of the world’s largest drug cartel who taints all of the drugs with a virus causing a blue rash, euphoria, and death in that order. To save the world, Eggsy joins up with Whiskey, the Statesman agent to steal the antidote and have it reproduced.

This movie had a lot of action, sex, and violence, but it was done with a sense of humor. Nothing was taken seriously. The cast was excellent and filled with big stars like Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, Tatum Channing, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, and Julianne Moore. Taron Egerton shines as Eggsy and Pedro Pascal is Whiskey. Elton John even makes an appearance in the film as himself and does a creditable job in that role.

Don’t take this film. It’s a lot of fun.
